Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles, NEPA Environmental Assessment

OVERVIEW

Prepared an Environmental Assessment for HUD Funded Proposals for the 15th and Henderson Project, a three unit affordable housing development proposed by Habitat for Humanity.

The project involved the construction three single-family residential units at 15th Street and Henderson in the City of Long Beach, Los Angeles County. The project was subject to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) because it was funded using Self-help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP) funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The project was determined to be categorically excluded subject to the §58.5 statutes per 24 CFR Part 58.35(a) and converted to exempt status [24 CFR Part 58.34(a)(12)].
